Top 5 wearable gadgets to watch out for in 2015

These are some of the most anticipated wearable gadgets of 2015

Wearable device are the latest in-thing for tech lovers and with Motorola racing away with Moto 360, the market is interestingly set up. Samsung has already made a dive in the smartwatch segment as we have already had a taste of the Galaxy S watch series. Therefore we see an obvious indication that firms see a definite trend and big market for wearable devices not just in the coming future but the immediate one.

Let us take a look at some of the most anticipated wearable gadgets of 2015:

1. Apple Watch

Without a doubt, the Apple Watch is one of the most awaited smartwatches of 2015. In fact the hype started to form around it a couple of years back so one expects these products to take off with a lot of vigour. The Apple Watch would be available in three segment including Apple Sport Watch, Apple Watch Edition and the Apple Watch which is basic or the beginner edition.

The changeable bands add to the flavour of Apple Watch allowing you to get a feel of a different watch every time while users would also get to change the dial screen whenever they want. Features that this watch is supposed to provide include health and fitness, receiving and making calls, reading notifications, GPS, etc.

The knob at the side allows users to enhance or reduce the size of the apps on the screen while touchscreen is also a means to access the display. The price tag is likely to be high but the feel of it will be exquisite.

2. Pebble Smartwatch

Pebble showcased its third edition of smartwatch at CES 2015 and the firm would be hoping to garner a lot more success than it has had before. We have previously seen that Pebble smartwatches were able to accomplish tasks like sending messages and e-mails while they were quite sturdy in terms of battery as well providing a mammoth 7 days usage.

So with the third edition we expect the firm to up the ante especially when you have the likes of Moto 360, Samsung Smart Gear and Apple Watch in competition.

3. Tag Heuer Smartwatch

Tag Heuer is a big name in the watch industry and with the smartwatch segment rising, there is a conflict between which direction the former should proceed in. The Swiss watch manufacturer is expected to come out with its own smartwatch in 2015 with the gadget being powered by Intel processor. The company has indicated that the gadget will have its design elements common with the Tag Heuer's digital range.

4. HTC Gluuv

HTC Gluuv is the first HTC wearable device that will provide seamless integration with the upcoming HTC One M8 by connecting the two. The device will also feature a massively powerful 87.2MP camera that will produce crisp images with great clarity.

A lot of people anticipated the gadget to be a smartwatch however HTC has given a twist to the tale. With HTC Gluuv, whenever you see something you like a favourite restaurant, then you give it a thumbs up.

5. Sony Smart Eyeglass Attach

We have already seen the Google Eyeglass that did not manage to live up to the massive hype it had garnered preceding its launch. However that has not stopped Sony from giving its own touch to the same concept with Sony smart Eyeglass attach.

The eyewear technology will have a control board comprising of processor, sensor HUB, wireless LAN and Bluetooth. The device will also have an OLED Micro display and an optical unit. When connected to or clipped onto an eye wear, Sony Smart Eyeglass attach will turn into a smart device.

So there you have, the top five most anticipated smart wearables of 2015. It will be interesting to know which ones come out on top by the end of the season and which ones end up being duds.

Apple is certainly going to be a firm favourite but it has plenty of formidable opponents to compete against, which include Samsung Galaxy Gear S and Motorola Moto 360.

The Motorola Moto 360 has done exceedingly well in terms of sales offering a great combination of specs, feel and price. On the other hand, HTC's first wearable also looks enticing and whether or not users will go for a wearable Gluuv is something only time will tell, but it is a brave move by the Taiwanese firm.
