Bangladesh have recalled middle-order batsman Mohammad Ashraful for the home one-day series against Zimbabwe starting this week.
"Ashraful has been recalled as he regained his form in the recent domestic matches," chief selector Faruk Ahmed told a news conference on Sunday.
At least 300 Ashraful fans held a noisy demonstration in front of the Bangladesh Cricket Board offices demanding his inclusion in the squad.
Bangladesh now have a 14-man squad for the first three matches against Zimbabwe, who are due to play five one-day Internationals and a Twenty20
The first match will be played on November 30 in Khulna, following a Twenty20 match at the same venue on November 28. The squad for the Twenty20 game has yet to be announced.
Bangladesh last week axed opener Rajin Saleh and Ashraful from a 13-man squad named for the series against Zimbabwe.
