Lee bowls Aussies to dominance in Brisbane

November 10, 2007 16:49 IST

Brett Lee [Images] bowled Australia to total domination -- picking up four wickets in the first innings -- as Sri Lanka [Images] slumped to 80 for two after being forced to follow on, on the third day of the first Test in Brisbane on Saturday.

Lee returned figures of 4 for 26 as the visitors were bowled out for 211 after Ricky Ponting's [Images] men declared on 551 for four.

Following on, Sri Lanka were in trouble once again at the draw of stumps after losing both their openers -- Sanath Jayasuriya (39) and Marvan Atapattu (16).

Lee had Jayasuriya caught by Ponting after Andrew Symonds [Images] picked up Atapattu's wicket to leave Sri Lanka reeling at 80 for two and still trailing by a massive 260 runs.

Brief Scores:

Australia 1st Innings: 551 for 4 declared

Sri Lanka 1st Innings: 211 all out (Marvan Atapattu 51, Brett Lee 4/26, Mitchell Johnson 2/49)

Sri Lanka 2nd Innings: 80 for two (Sanath Jayasuriya 39, Lee 1/26).
