The mobile data revenue at Rs 2,324 cr registered a growth of 70 per cent
Country’s largest service provider Bharti Airtel has posted 30.5 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 1,255 crore (Rs 12.55 billion) for the quarter ended March 2015 against Rs 962 crore (Rs 9.62 billion) in the same quarter previous year.
The company’s revenues grew by 3.6 per cent at Rs 23,016 crore (Rs 230.16 billion) for the fourth quarter 2015 as compared to Rs 22,219 crore (Rs 222.19 billion) for the same quarter previous year.
Mobile data revenue at Rs 2,324 crore registered a growth of 70.4 per cent y-o-y in India, uplifted by increase in usage per customer by 41.2 per cent and data customer base by 30.3 per cent.
Data ARPU has moved up by Rs 43 to Rs 176 in the fourth quarter and mobile data revenue contributed 17.6 per cent of Mobile India revenues vis-à-vis 11.5 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year.
The revenue from India registered a growth of 11.8 per cent y-o-y across segments, led by 11 per cent in mobile, 10.2 per cent in telemedia and 17.2 per cent in digital TV.
Africa revenue grew by 3.4 per cent y-o-y in constant currency terms.
The Board has proposed a final dividend of Rs 2.22 per share (face value of Rs 5 per share) for the financial year ended March 31, 2015. Along with interim dividend of Rs 1.63 per share, the total dividend for the year comes to Rs 3.85 per share, according to a company statement.
Bharti Airtel's scrip on BSE closed 2 per cent higher on Tuesday at Rs 400.
