The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Israeli embassy staff in India, saying any acts of terrorism are "criminal and unjustifiable". A statement issued by UNSC President Kodjo Menan of Togo said Council members "condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack in New Delhi, India aimed at Israel's diplomatic personnel, which resulted in injuries to diplomatic personnel and civilians."

A 50-year-old man has been detained for questioning by the Delhi police in connection with the car bomb attack on an Israeli embassy vehicle in Delhi in February. The suspect was picked up from the capital and is being questioned, police sources said. Israeli diplomat Tal Yehoshua and the driver of the vehicle were among the four people injured in the blast after a magnetic bomb stuck to the vehicle went off.
