Sports academies are catching the fancy of astute businessmen. Wizcraft International Entertainment, an event management and entertainment agency, plans to rollout around 8 sports academies with an outlay of nearly Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion). The non-sport company will panout the eight academics across eight cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad,Kolkata, Pune, Goa, Chennai - in a phased manner beginning early 2008.

A case was registered on Thursday night under sections 336, for an act endangering life or personal safety of others, and under 285, for negligent conduct with respect to fire or combustible matter under the Indian Penal Code.
Safety instructions were neglected as LPG cylinders were brought by the organisers and kept under the stage of the Make in India event where a massive fire broke likely due to an electric spark coming into contact with combustible material, a probe into the incident in Mumbai has said.
"We will probe all aspects, including finding out if there was a sabotage angle involved," a fire brigade official said.
