Hundreds of Afghan protesters, including women, took to the streets of Kabul on Tuesday, chanting 'death to Pakistan' and denouncing Islamabad's interference in Afghanistan and airstrikes by its jets in Panjshir province in support of the Taliban, according to a media report.
The Taliban have confirmed that Pakistan's powerful intelligence chief Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has met its de facto leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, amidst efforts by the insurgent group to finalise a government in Afghanistan.
A suicide bomber targeted the humanitarian organisation Care in the Shar-e-Naw area and gunmen then stormed the building.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed.
Twenty to thirty rockets landed at Hamid Karzai International Airport in the centre of Kabul, Tolo news reported. There are no reports of causalities yet.
Danish Siddiqui, in his early 40s, was killed during clashes in Spin Boldak district in Kandahar, Tolo News quoted sources as saying.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said a number of people were killed and wounded in the blast that apparently targeted the offices of Afghanistan's main security agency.
A number of documents indicate that Pakistan International Airline has put embargo on Afghan citizens who have travelled to India.
The strike by a Hellfire missile in Kabul on August 29, which was launched in an effort to kill ISIS-K planners, instead killed 10 civilians, he said.
The attack is claimed by the Taliban.
Police said there is no terrorism element in the incident.
Pak military officers were involved in the attack on the Indian Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif in which assailants attempted to storm the mission building.
Ahead of signing of the deal, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said the United States will closely watch the Taliban for their compliance with their commitments and calibrate the peace of the American withdrawal from Afghanistan with the group's action.
All Indians in the mission are safe, said MEA.
"We saw with our own eyes and I can say 99 per cent that those attackers were from Pakistani military and used special tactics while conducting their operation," Sayed Kamal Sadat, police chief of the Balkh province.
A blast occurred near the Indian consulate in Jalalabad near Kabul on Saturday. No one was hurt. The police believe it to be caused by a suicide bomber.
