Farzana Khatoon, wife of National Investigation Agency officer Tanzil Ahmad who was shot dead in an April 3 attack which also left her grievously injured, succumbed on Wednesday morning.

Voting will be held in seven seats in Rajasthan, six in West Bengal, five in Assam, four seats in Bihar, three in Karnataka, two seats in Madhya Pradesh, and one seat each in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Kerala and Meghalaya. Votes will be counted on November 23.
It is suspected that property dispute could be one of the reasons behind Tanzil's murder.
The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police has arrested an active member of the Munir gang wanted in the murder case of National Investigation Agency officer Tanzil Ahmed.
Motorcycle-borne assailants had pumped 24 bullets into 45-year-old Ahmad and four into his wife Farzana Khatoon in April last.
Tanzil Ahmad was shot dead by two motorcycle borne persons when he was returning after attending a marriage ceremony with his wife Farzana.
Cops are also investigating whether personal enmity or property dispute was a reason behind the murder.
