Ford India has entered the sports utility vehicle segment of the domestic car market by rolling out its globally popular SUV Endeavour at its manufacturing facility near Chennai on Wednesday.
With India leading the small SUV market and attracting majority of investments from Ford Motor Company, the country is set to become a hub for the US automobile major, a top official said.
Some cars that are emblematic of India's automobile industry will no longer come off the assembly lines after this year.
