Vedic rituals for the pran pratistha will begin in Ayodhya on January 16, a week before the main ceremony. A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals of the consecration ceremony on January 22.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi confirmed as much on his social media handle on Monday, saying a renowned idol-maker from the 'land of Hanuman' will see his piece of creation find pride of place at the Ram Temple on January 22.
"The sadhus and saints of Ayodhya will honour Justice Sharma for delivering the historic verdict in favour of the Ram temple", Ram Vilas Vedanti told reporters in Ayodhya. He said the dates of the felicitation ceremony would be decided after talking to Sharma, who would be apprised of the sentiments of the sadhus
