In a U-turn, actor Shweta Menon has formally withdrawn her complaint of molestation against Congress MP N Peethambara Kurup after the 71-year-old leader tendered a "personal apology".
Leading Malayalam film actress Shweta Menon, who was allegedly molested by Congress Member of Parliament N Peethambara Kurup at the President's Boat race event at Kollam two days ago, on Sunday gave her statement on the incident to police.
Though Shweta did not reveal the identity of the politician who allegedly harassed her at the President's Trophy boat race on Friday evening, media footage showed Congress MP N Peethambara Kurup from the area touching her but the lawmaker on Saturday strongly denied having committed such an act
