Delhi Police Commissioner Y S Dadwal on Friday said that the police department had not recommended the granting of parole to Manu Sharma, serving a life sentence for the murder of model Jessica Lal, who landed in a controversy due to an alleged scuffle in a Delhi nightclub. A controversy erupted after Sharma was spotted at the LAP Lounge Bar on November 7, in violation of his parole norms, which prescribed him to be in Chandigarh.

An Air India probe panel on Friday gave a clean chit to two pilots who were charged with sexual harassment by an airhostess, in the wake of a mid-air scuffle between them, during a flight from Sharjah earlier in October. A senior Air India official said the five-member enquiry committee, which probed her complaint about the incident on board a Sharjah-Lucknow-Delhi flight IC-884 on October 3, has concluded that whatever complaint the airhostess made was 'an afterthought'.
