The nine-day rescue operations in which 23 bodies were extricated and 62 people rescued from the rubble of a blanket factory that collapsed on April 15, came to an end on Tuesday.
A teenager was on Wednesday miraculously pulled out alive from the rubble, two days after a factorybuilding collapsed here, as rescuers raced against time to extricate those trapped while three more bodies were recovered, taking the death toll to nine.

Nearly 57 people have been rescued from the collapse site till mid-noon, Deputy Commissioner (Jalandhar) Priyank Bharti said, quoting personnel from the fire brigade and army who are engaged in the rescue operation.
