American Simone Biles, who won four golds at last week's world gymnastics championships in China, including the all-around title, was named Sportswoman of the Year by the Women's Sports Foundation on Wednesday.
Simone Biles' triumph made her the fourth successive American to win the title -- following the successes of Carly Patterson, Nastia Liukin and Gabby Douglas -- which is the longest winning streak by a country in the Olympic discipline.
Since making her debut at the 2013 world championships, the 19-year-old American has become an unstoppable force. Last year she became the first woman to win a "three-peat" of all-around golds at the worlds.
