The District and Sessions Court in Jodhpur is hearing the actor's appeal against the five-year sentence handed down to him in April 2018 for allegedly killing two blackbucks in 1998.
Chogaram, 65, was to appear in the court for recording his statement in relation to the case against Khan for alleged poaching of two blackbucks in Kankani here in October, 1998.
The prosecution eyewitness has identified Bollywood actresses Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu before the court during the hearing of the 16-year-old black buck poaching case.
His co-accused actors -- Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam - were acquitted in the 20-year-old case.
