The exemption from filing the certified copy of the TADA court judgment was granted when the petitioner pleaded before the apex court that it would not be possible to file the appeals soon, as it will take time to get the copies of the judgment typed and photocopied.
A person cannot take oath in the name of any particular God or deity but merely affirm in the name of God or his own conscience.
A bench of Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and R V Raveendran said that in case the petitions could not be disposed off by the said date, the high court can pass an interim order on the issue.
