An ambitious endeavour, the Jagriti Yatra is both a promotion of enterprise and itself a manifestation of ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit.
Tata Jagriti Yatra 2008 will be an inspirational train journey undertaken by around 400 young and enterprising participants, between 18-25 years, from India and overseas, Tata Sons' Executive Director, R Gopalakrishnan, said on Wednesday.
The efforts, a part of '#40 Forward' programme under Google for Entrepreneurs', are aimed at finding new ways to advance female entrepreneurs.

In December, some 400 youngsters aged 15 to 18 years boarded a train for the Tata Jagriti Yatra (TJY), a 9,000-km, 16-state journey of 18 days from December 24, 2010 to January 11, 2011, starting from Mumbai travelling through Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, Orissa, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, to Delhi, Rajasthan and Gujarat and back.
