For Pakistan's economic growth, it is important for the country to have more trade with India, a top World Bank official has said.
"We have sought assistance from World Bank for 37,000 km of roads as we plan to take up work on these projects soon," Road Minister C P Joshi told reporters after a meeting with a World Bank delegation, headed by its South Asia Region Vice President Isabel Guerrero.
World Bank on Monday said its lending in India is estimated to increase from its current annual average of $2.5 billion to an average of $4 billion over the next two-three years.
