India is planning to deploy a hovercraft for keeping surveillance in 'Harami Nala'-- a 22 km long water channel accessible from Pakistan -- infamous for being prone to infiltration from the neighbouring nation.
A Border Security Force officer and a jawan died during patrol due to exposure to 'extreme weather' at the Harami Nallah creek area along the India-Pakistan international front in Gujarat, the force said on Saturday.
In continuation of the search operation started on Wednesday afternoon in the Harami Nalla area of Bhuj in Gujarat where eight Pakistani boats were seized, three more boats were seized on Thursday.
The official said it appeared to be a fishing boat, adding that no arms or ammunition were found.
A Pakistani fishing boat was on Friday apprehended by the Border Security Force from the Harami Nala near the disputed Sir Creek area, a BSF official said. "A Pakistani boat with fishermen and fishing equipment was trying to cross the International Maritime Boundary towards the Indian area near Harami Nala close to the Sir Creek area," said a Gujarat-based BSF official.
Five Pakistani nationals have been apprehended by the Border Security Force from Harami Nala in the district for entering India illegally.

The Border Security Force on Saturday foiled an infiltration bid along the India-Pakistan border in Kutch district of Gujarat, official sources in the BSF said. "A group of infiltrators coming in a boat tried to enter our territory through Harami Nala, a shallow water channel near pillar number 1175 of the international border at approximately 12.30 am," sources said."The occupants of the boat started firing on the BSF men following which they retaliated," they said.

The move comes days after the Indian Navy also warned of a possible terror attack from the sea side.
Maintaining that India wants good relations with Pakistan, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said resumption of stalled talks with Islamabad was possible if there was an improvement in the situation.
