The Uttar Pradesh police has told the Supreme Court that it was "prima facie satisfied" about alleged involvement of Dr Rajesh Talwar in the sensational double murder of his teenaged daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj before arresting him. In an affidavit filed before the apex court, the UP police submitted that it had conducted a fair investigation and observed all necessary rules under the Criminal Procedure Code before arresting Dr Talwar.
Dentist Rajesh Talwar, main accused in his daughter Aarushi's murder case, was brought to Hardwar by the Noida police on Friday in a bid to collect more evidence, ahead of a court hearing on his remand. Talwar, whose whereabouts were kept secret during his three-day remand, was taken to this temple-town this morning as he and his family had come to Hardwar a day after his daughter Aarushi's murder, to perform the last rites.

Doctor Rajesh Talwar, accused of murdering his daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, was on Friday remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. The Noida police claimed to have cracked the case base on Dr Talwar's confession after they confronted him with questions based on information gathered from a 14-year-old friend of Aarushi.
Asking Dr Nupur Talwar, accused in the 2008 twin murder of her teenaged daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, to seek court permission to write a book on the killings, the Dasna jail authorities have seized the 17 pages written by her.
The narco-analysis test conducted on Rajkumar at Bangalore on Wednesday confirmed that the main motive behind the killing of Aarushi Talwar was revenge. Rajkumar, who is a domestic help of Anita Durrani, family friend of the Talwars, said during the test that Krishna, a compounder at Dr Talwar's clinic was upset with his employer and hence he wanted to kill Aarushi.
Krishna said he too wanted Aarushi dead as he wanted to take revenge on his employer. During the marathon narco analysis test at Bangalore recently, Krishna said Dr Talwar had humiliated him in front of many patients as he had goofed up during a surgery, which in turn led to severe complications.
'Some TV channels are wrongly reporting that the Honourable CM is no more. It is totally baseless and false,' the hospital says.
