The average summer temperatures in the Canadian Arctic over the last century are the highest in the last 44,000 years, and perhaps as long ago as 120,000 years, a new study has found.
In an alarming sign, scientists have warned that Arctic sea ice is dramatically melting at a faster rate than previously thought, which may accelerate the effects of global warming.
After several rounds of voting, the results are in. The LUMIX People's Choice Award goes to David Lloyd for his amazing photograph of two lions greeting each other and rubbing their faces for 30 seconds.
