Former Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vijay Kapoor and two former chief secretaries -- Baleshwar Rai of Goa and Arun Kumar of Chhattisgarh -- on Saturday formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The opposition has been critical of the Centre's handling of the situation, accusing it of not doing enough to ease the hardships of the migrant workers, many of whom have lost their jobs during the lockdown which started on March 25.
This classification of districts is to be followed by states and union terrotories till a week post May 3, when the second phase of lockdown will end, for containment operations.
