The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday arrested senior IAS officer and Andhra Pradesh Principal Home Secretary B P Acharya in a case related to alleged irregularities in land transfer and sale of villas and apartments in a township in the state. The township has been jointly developed by the state-run Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation and Dubai-based infrastructure firm Emaar.

The investing agency had sought 2,000 acres for the HEC. The remaining land would be given in due course, an APIIC official said.

So far the tallest tower being built by Shapoorji Pallonji group in Mumbai is about 80-storied tall.
