World No. 1 Bajrang Punia won his second gold medal in two weeks after defeating Viktor Rassadin in the final of the men's 65kg freestyle in the Ali Aliyev wrestling tournament in Kaspiisk, Russia.
Olympic-bound wrestler Bajrang Punia on Saturday assured that he has not suffered a major injury but the extent of damage done to his right knee will be known only by Monday since the inflammation takes at least 48 hours to subside.
Sources in the WFI said Ravi's coach Malikov will certainly get a fresh contract and even as the federation is still not completely satisfied with the performance of Bentinidis, it will still consider Bajrang's request if he wants to continue with him.
