In a big embarrassment to the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Supreme Court on Tuesday asked its senior counsel K T S Tulsi to withdraw from the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case as he had earlier appeared for the Gujarat government. "To be very honest with you, I do not think it is proper for you to appear in the case. You are a very senior member of the Bar. The state government might not have objected but it is not proper for you," a SC bench said.

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay the Delhi high court order asking veteran Congress leader N D Tiwari to undergo a DNA test in a paternity case. However, a bench comprising justices Aftab Alam and R M Lodha made it clear that the findings of the test would not be made public until and unless it is required by the court to decide the paternity suit against Tiwari. The bench said the report would be kept in a sealed envelope.
