Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday apologised to Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev for the crash of Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 8432 in which 38 passengers were killed near Aktau in Kazakhstan, Euro News reported.
Six people were killed in an explosion in the Russian Caucasus city of Vladikavkaz in North Ossetia. Russia has been grappling with a Muslim insurgency in the North Caucasus.
Russian freestyle wrestler Besik Kudukhov has died at the age of 27 following a car accident on Sunday, the domestic federation said.
