Arguing that any conflict in Iran would have disastrous consequences, India on Tuesday alleged that a series of recent media reports in the United States have distorted New Delhi's foreign policy objectives and energy security needs.
"This was reflected in the increasing number of joint exercises that the two armed forces held regularly and procurement of defence equipment by India such as C-130J aircraft," said Virander Paul, spokesman of the Indian Embassy in Washinton, five days after the conclusion of the meeting.
More than 50 per cent of the Indian students hit by the closure of California-based Tri Valley University are at various stages of processing for the reinstatement of their visa status.
