Two persons have been arrested in connection with the cracker blast at Sholavandan railway station near Madurai that left two persons dead, the police said on Wednesday.
The blast occurred just as the Mayiladuthurai-Tirunelveli passenger train from which the crackers were offloaded was leaving the station, a top police official said.
Party co-coordinator Palaniswami announced constitution of a 11-member steering committee which includes ministers Dindigul C Sreenivasan, P Thangamani, and S P Velumani.
