Former pace bowler Rumesh Ratnayake has been appointed Sri Lanka's coach for the tour of Australia beginning next month, the head of the country's newly-appointed interim cricket committee said on Friday.
Ratnayake taking the role means that the future of current coach, Chandika Hathurusingha, is uncertain in the team.
The appointment will be effective from February 1 to 20.
However, Pujara is confident that Rahane is only one innings away from regaining his lost touch.
"In today's context, we have not done well. I would like to still encourage the bowlers saying that they have slowed the process a little bit. We need to take 20 wickets and that's for sure," he added.
