To mount pressure on government for reservation under OBC quota, the Patidar or Patel community members living in the US on Tuesday announced to "boycott" Prime Minister Narendra Modi's forthcoming visit there for delivering him a "strong message" on the issue.
The Patel quota agitation leader formed the Patel Navnirman Sena bringing together the Patels, Kurmis and Gujjars.
Hospital authorities said Hardik was in the ICU and a team of doctors was treating him.
The move comes a day a day after Patel community members living in the US announced a "boycott" of Modi's upcoming visit there.
