Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Thursday said sleuths investigating into the blast at Bengaluru's popular eatery 'The Rameshwaram Cafe' last week have got certain 'good leads', as the prime suspect changed his clothes after the incident, and travelled by a bus.
Earlier, the high court had permitted the NIA to seek framing of charges in the special court against Gogoi and three of his associates in connection with anti-CAA protests and suspected Maoist links.
It was initially suspected that the two youths acted as guides for the Uri attackers.
The accused, identified as Tariq Mir, a resident of Maldoora of Shopian district in south Kashmir, was the fifth person arrested in the case which came to light when Singh was arrested along with three terrorists including a most wanted Hizbul Mujahideen commander in January this year.
In searches carried out in the city earlier, the NIA had arrested two people -- Mohammed Azarudheen and Shiek Hidayathulla.
They had earlier been arrested by the Manipur police in September last year when they were allegedly extorting money by wearing police uniforms and carrying sophisticated weapons, the officials said.
The apex court on July 28 granted bail to the two accused, noting that the actual involvement of Gonsalves and Ferreira in any terrorist act has not surfaced from any third-party communications.
The formal notification of handing over the case to the NIA is expected to be issued by the ministry soon, an official privy to the development said.
