The Bombay high court on Monday extended till February 15 the interim protection from arrest granted to actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel in connection with a first information report registered against them by Mumbai police on sedition and other charges following their tweets.
Actor Kangana Ranaut on Monday told the Bombay high court, through her lawyer, that none of her tweets had ever incited violence or caused any criminal acts, and sought quashing of the first information report registered against her for sedition by Mumbai Police.
Munawwar Ali Sayyad, a casting director and fitness trainer, had filed the complaintreferring to tweets and other statements of Ranaut and her sister.
