A Delhi court refused Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's request to prevent AAP leader Somnath Bharti from representing his wife in a defamation case filed against Sitharaman.
Delhi Police have registered an FIR against former state law minister and Aam Aadmi Party legislator Somnath Bharti over domestic violence allegations levelled against him by his wife, Lipika Mitra.
Aam Aadmi Party lawmaker Somnath Bharti on Wednesday rubbished the murder and domestic violence case filed against him by his wife Lipika Mitra, saying he has audio and documentary evidence that would reveal the actual truth.
"What am I achieving ultimately; I will lose my husband, my children will lose their father. I am not happy with the development, but had to do all this to come out of the abuse," Lipika said.
