A powerful bomb exploded on a railway track in Karbi Anglong district of central Assam early on Thursday morning. A MIG-27 fighter aircraft on a routine sortie crashed in a village in Jodhpur district on Friday, injuring seven persons on the ground. The pilot ejected safely after the crash took place at approximately 8.30 am in Konkani village in Luni, 42 kms from Jodhpur, Defence Public Relation Officer Lieutenant Colonel N N Joshi said. According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Jodhpur, Sharad Kaviraj, seven persons on the ground were injured in the mishap, one of them seriously.
