Reigning national Champion Sourav Kothari pulled off a big upset by shocking 10-time world champion Pankaj Advani in the quarterfinals of the IBSF World Billiards Championship in Long-Up format in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
Pankaj Advani lost his opening outing to defending champion Peter Gilchrist but later recovered and scored two straight victories in World Billiards Championship, in Leeds, on Tuesday.
Making their first appearance in the WTA Finals in Singapore, Sania Mirza and Cara Black outplayed Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears in their opening match to book their semi-finals berth on Thursday.
