In the backdrop of alleged involvement of a 'Ranchi module' of Indian Mujahideen in the October 27 serial blasts near a Bharatiya Janata Party rally in Patna, police on Monday recovered nine live bombs matching those found in Patna from a lodge at Hindpiri in Ranchi.
Amidst reports that security agencies were looking for a girl student from Bokaro in connection with Patna serial blasts, the National Investigation Agency on Wednesday said a few more suspects are on the radar of the agency.
"The coronavirus outbreak in the 31st battalion of the force has been viewed seriously. The Director General (DG) has directed to gear up the force to face the challenge of the pandemic during 'hotspot policing' duties and while rendering other security related tasks," a senior officer said.
A day after nine live bombs were found at a lodge in Hindpiri, Ranchi, security agencies are apprehensive about finding more bombs at the site.
As people crisscross the country, eager to return to their homes, the cases have raced past 80,000 with at least 2,649 deaths, according to the Union health ministry on Friday. While there is no exact count, this includes a large number of those who have returned to their states.
