Deputy inspector general of BSF (Jammu) SPS Sandhu said a small opening, believed to be a suspected tunnel, was found in a general area near fencing in Samba.
Another Pakistani intruder was similarly killed in November 2020, while an underground tunnel was also detected in this region very recently, an officer said.
The BSF claimed to have foiled the plans of terrorists to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra.
