The lawyer of Ruchika Girhotra's family on Saturday rejected the post-mortem report of the teenager, which blamed her death on the excessive use of slimming pills. "The report very clearly mentions slimming pills as the reason behind the death. But slimming pills, even if somebody takes more than two, cannot kill," said Pankaj Bharadwaj, the Girhotras' lawyer.

The nine-year-old Russian girl and her mother on Monday identified Aman Bharadwaj as the accused who raped the girl at north Goa's Arambol beach on January 26. The identification parade was conducted today by the state police, two days after the accused was arrested from a slum in Chembur in Mumbai. A senior police officer said the mother-daughter duo identified the accused as the one who raped the girl.

Anil Raghuvanshi, one of the two men accused in the rape of a nine-year-old Russian girl in Goa, was arrested on Friday, said the police. Raghuvanshi had allegedly engaged the victim's mother in a conversation while the crime was being committed.Raghuvanshi, who was in his thirties, was arrested from a bus stop in Panaji, said Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravindra Yadav.The main accused, Aman Bharadwaj, is still at large, Yadav said.
