A violent clash between inmates at the Central Jail in Ludhiana resulted in serious injuries to the jail superintendent. The incident occurred during a routine check when inmates allegedly attacked jail officials and police personnel. Punjab police have arrested an Indian-origin transnational drug lord, wanted by the FBI in connection with one of the largest narcotics seizures in the US.
