Britain's men's 4x100m relay team have been told to hand back their Tokyo 2020 silver medals after Chijindu Ujah's doping violation, the British Olympic Association (BOA) said on Thursday.
Chijindu Ujah has been provisionally suspended since Ostarine and S-23 -- both substances prohibited by world anti-doping organisation WADA -- were detected in his A and B samples following the final.
The AIU, which oversees integrity issues in international athletics, including doping, said Ujah's ban was effective August 6, 2021 and will be in force until June 5, 2023.
British Olympic 4x100m relay silver medallist Chijindu Ujah's B-sample has also confirmed an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) and his case will be referred to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the International Testing Agency (ITA) said on Tuesday.
Russian athletics was back on top of the medal table at the European Indoor Championships.
