Ahead of US President Donald Trump's visit to India next week, preparations are underway in Agra where the administration is beautifying the entire route from Kheria Airport to Taj Mahal. "It has been decided that the US president will be visiting Agra on February 24. So, we are clearing and beautifying the entire route from Kheria Airport to Taj Mahal," said Arun Kumar, city magistrate.
He was accorded a traditional welcome by Braj folk artists on his arrival at the airport.
Over 14,000 policemen were deployed across the city for the security of Adityanath.
The city administration is all geared up for the big day and preparations are in full swing to present the 'best face of Agra'.
About 100 American security personnel along with their 4,000 Indian counterparts will ensure a protective cover to President Barack Obama and his family when they visit the world famous Taj Mahal here on January 27.
Late US President Dwight Eisenhower's visit to Agra over five decades ago presents a stark contrast to the changed global security situation now as President Obama prepares to visit Taj Mahal next week.
Trump is accompanied by First Lady Melania, daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and the top brass of his administration.
