State-run BSNL on Tuesday launched a service wherein its mobile customers will be able to access Facebook without any Internet or data connectivity.

Even as telecom services are being restored in Kashmir Valley, mobile operators are offering free calling facility in the region.
The service will cover areas where no network is available and will be provided by INMARSAT, which has 14 satellites.

At the moment, data and broadband is small for BSNL: it contributes 10 per cent of the company's revenue, though its share is on the rise.
