DigiLocker, a government initiative for storing documents and verifying credentials online, is gradually replacing the need for paper.
Under the revised curriculum, the number of credits required for theory has been reduced to 160 from 220.
"The need of the hour in Indian education system is to create the awareness around academic integrity" said Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe, chairman, All India Council for Technical Education.
