On Sunday Hansen broke the old mark of 2:09.42 set by Japan's Kosuke Kitajima at last year's world championships in Barcelona.

On Thursday, the 22-year-old improved on Kitajima's 100 metre breaststroke world mark of 59.78 when he touched in 59.30 seconds.
