Bihar to appoint new teachers for 'Mahatma's schools'

The Bihar government has decided to appoint five teachers in each of the 391 buniyadi vidyalayas (basic schools) set up by Mahatma Gandhi in the state. After decades of neglect -- during which the quality of education in these schools suffered due to lack of teachers and funds -- the Mahatma ke schools, as they are known, will finally witness a revival.
