Delhi Police have arrested a 26-year-old medical store owner and dismantled a drug supply network operating in the outer Delhi area. The arrest followed a raid in Paharganj, prompted by information obtained during the interrogation of three individuals previously arrested with contraband.
The Delhi Police arrested 267 narco-offenders and seized significant quantities of contraband during a 48-hour crackdown called "Operation Kavach 13.0." The operation involved raids across the city and targeted drug traffickers, suppliers, and organised criminal networks.
Delhi Police have dismantled an interstate network involved in the illegal supply of psychotropic medicines, arresting four individuals and seizing a significant consignment of banned drugs.
Anti-infectives like Ivermectin, Mupirocin and Meropenem have also been added to the list, taking the total drugs under it to 384.
"Many of the pharmaceutical preparations subject to abuse are manufactured in India," affecting all sections of the population, the report stated.
