The bodies of the two security personnel, who were killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan last week, were flown back to India in a special aircraft on Wednesday.

Sources said that the Indian Air Force aircraft, carrying the bodies of the two slain Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel and five wounded personnel, had left Iran for New Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

The two men were killed and several others wounded when a suicide bomber attacked a Border Roads Organisation convoy in Nimroz province of southeastern Afghanistan on January 3.

Sources said that the wounded men and the bodies of the slain personnel were first taken to Jabol in Iran. The IAF aircraft reached New Delhi at 8.30 pm on Wednesday.
