The four-member committee of Shri Amarnath Yatra [Images] Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) spearheading the agitation for restoration of land to the shrine board will meet the Governor's panel headed by his advisor S S Bleoria in Jammu at 9 am on Saturday.

"We are scheduled to hold talks with the Governor's panel at Circuit House here at 9 a.m. tomorrow," Samiti leader Brigadier (Retd) Suchet Singh said. He said principal secretary to Governor B B Vyas had sent out an invitation to the Samiti on August 18 to discuss five points on the issue.

"But we will talk only on the subject of land and its restoration to the shrine board and on its independent functioning," Singh said. Convenor Leela Karan Sharma said the Samiti has little expectations from the talks "although we have responded to the Panel's invite."

"We are going to meet them to see what they are willing to offer," he said. Samiti leaders said the agitation would continue until all its demands are met.

The Governor's Panel has four members comprising Bleoria, Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University Prof Amitabh [Images] Mattoo, former judge of J&K High Court Justice (Retd) G D Sharma and Vyas. The Samiti panel includes Singh, Tilak Raj Sharma, Naridner Singh and Pawan Kohli.
