J&K: Four Lashkar terrorists shot dead

Four Lashker-e-Tayiba terrorists, including a self-styled commander of the outfit, were killed in a gun battle with security forces in Kishtwar district on Friday.

On a tip off, Rashtriya Rifle troops and police launched a seek-and-destroy operation in Trinalan Dhok in Srawan area of Kishtwar district on Thursday, official sources said.

During the search terrorists lobbed grenades and opened fire on security forces, who retaliated resulting in a fierce gun battle that continued till 0200 hours on Friday, they said.

Four weapons, two magazines, three grenades and some other items were recovered from the slain terrorists.
