Activists of Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Friday staged a massive demonstration in the lower court complex when the bail application of four accused in the sex racket came up for hearing in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate.

As soon as the CJM started hearing the bail application of the two former ministers -- Ghulam [Images] Ahmad Mir and Raman Mattoo -- ex-additional Advocate General Anil Sethi and Deputy Inspector General of Border Security Force K S Padhi, DeM activists started shouting slogans against the accused who were not present in the court.

The slogan shouting intensified when the court fixed July one as next date of hearing and referred the bail applications to Divisional Bench. The activists sought death penalty for all the accused.

Later, DeM activists left the court premises and marched through historic Lal Chowk demanding arrest of other accused.

Meanwhile, the Valley Citizens Council (VCC) has demanded that both the former tainted ministers booked in the sex racket be disqualified from the legislative assembly.

Demanding immediate arrest of other accused in the racket, the VCC urged Congress and Peoples Democratic Forum to expel Mir and Mattoo from their parties immediately.
